Cardinals' Kirk arrested, charged for disorderly conduct in February
Arizona Cardinals rookie wide receiver Christian Kirk was charged and arrested for disorderly conduct on Feb. 3 after becoming intoxicated and throwing rocks while leaving the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
The Cardinals released the following statement, as obtained by Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic:
"We spoke with Christian about it at length and also looked into it independently. Our understanding is that the process will be resolved in the near future but while it remains an active legal matter, we won’t comment further."
Kirk is expected to augment the Cardinals' passing game and ought to develop a rapport with quarterback Josh Rosen, whom the Cardinals traded up to select 10th overall.
Kirk was selected in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. During his final two seasons at Texas A&M, he was named to the All-SEC team.
