Danica Patrick's dad wanted to tackle Aaron Rodgers 1st time he met him
While Danica Patrick's NFL allegiance has shifted since she started dating Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the same can't be said for her father.
T.J. Patrick has been a fan of the Chicago Bears over 50 years, and recently told Autoweek that he "can't be a Packers fan." He also shared a humorous story about how he planned on tackling Rodgers when Danica introduced them for the first time.
"Actually, the first time we met him I told the kids I was going to wear my Brian Urlacher jersey and tackle him," T.J. recalled. "I couldn't find it. He walked in and asked, 'Where is your jersey?' I told him I couldn't find it. He said, 'I would respect you a lot more if you had it on.'
"He's good about it. He knows. He is very intelligent and still has a sense a humor."
Danica confirmed her relationship with Rodgers in January, at which point she also confessed to being a new convert to the Packers.
