The New England Patriots are in trade discussions with the San Francisco 49ers for offensive tackle Trent Brown, a source told Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
Brown, a three-year veteran, started 26 games at right tackle for the Niners over the past two seasons but finished last year on injured reserve.
New England selected a potential left tackle in the first round of the NFL draft Thursday night in the form of Isaiah Wynn from Georgia, while right tackle Marcus Cannon also ended the 2017 campaign on injured reserve.
