Los Angeles Rams safety Lamarcus Joyner has signed his franchise tender, the team announced Monday.

Joyner was assigned the franchise tag in March and will earn $11.29 million under his new one-year contract. Los Angeles still has until July 16 to work out a long-term deal with their defensive back.

The former second-round selection has played the last four seasons with the Rams, and amassed three interceptions, nine pass defenses, and 49 tackles through 12 games in 2017.

Joyner will be the fourth-highest-paid safety in the league under the tag in terms of average annual salary.
