Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson is optimistic that fulfilling a promise can be a turning point for his team.
Ahead of the 2017 season, Jackson said he would jump in Lake Erie if the Browns finished worse than their 1-15 record from 2016. They went 0-16.
"Hopefully I can get the whole organization to go jump in with me. It'll be a cleansing of the Cleveland Browns, that's what it will be," Jackson said at the combine Wednesday, according to ESPN's Pat McManamon.
Though the coach doesn't yet know when he'll go through with it - it was 50 degrees in Cleveland on Wednesday shortly before 2 p.m. ET - he's planning for the jump to benefit his charitable foundation, which aids victims of human trafficking.
