The Detroit Lions announced a contract extension for vice president and general manager Bob Quinn on Friday, which "matches the term" signed by new head coach Matt Patricia.
The deals run through 2022, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Quinn has held the position with the team since 2016, and previously worked with the New England Patriots in various roles from 2000-2015.
"Thank you to (owner Martha Firestone) Ford, her family, and Rod Wood for their continued support and belief in my ability to lead this football team. My goals and vision remain unchanged and I will continue to work diligently at improving this team and every facet of the football operation. Coach Patricia and I will always work in close concert on any and all football-related matters. That process is underway as our coaching and player personnel staffs are collectively preparing for the roster building phase of the off-season," said Quinn in the announcement.
