The Carolina Panthers appear to have their offensive coordinator.

The team "agreed in principle" to hire Norv Turner for the role, a Panthers source told Tiffany Blackmon of NFL Network.

Turner last coached with the Minnesota Vikings, spending 2014-16 as the team's offensive coordinator.

The 65-year-old replaces Mike Shula, who was fired along with quarterbacks coach Ken Dorsey on Tuesday. Shula and Dorsey had been with the team in their respective roles since 2013.
