After Sunday's embarrassing 51-17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo has decided to stick with quarterback Eli Manning as his starter.
"He's our quarterback. I have a lot of confidence in Eli," McAdoo said Monday, according to Bob Glauber of Newsday Sports. "That hasn't changed."
However, McAdoo didn't rule out the possibility of another quarterback replacing Manning and ending his regular season games-started streak, currently at 207. While McAdoo clarified the veteran hasn't lost his job, he left the door open that backups Davis Webb or Geno Smith could see playing time.
"Eli, he's our quarterback. That doesn't mean at some point we won't throw another guy in to get a look at," said McAdoo.
Next week, the Giants play the winless San Francisco 49ers, who opened as betting favorites.
