While many have been shocked by the brilliant play of Deshaun Watson in his rookie season with the Houston Texans, his former college coach certainly isn't one of them.
Dabo Swinney had Watson at Clemson for three years - culminating in a national championship last season - and is no stranger to the quarterback's heroics.
"He's just doing what he's always done," Swinney told Scott Keepfer of The Greenville News. "He's no different than he was at Gainesville High and Clemson and now with the Houston Texans."
Watson has taken the NFL by storm since being inserted as the Texans' starter in Week 2, setting an all-time record by throwing for 19 touchdown passes through his first seven games.
It's similar to what he accomplished at Clemson throughout his storied career, including a sophomore campaign that saw him become the first player in FBS history to throw for 4,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in the same season.
