Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jason Peters has been diagnosed with a torn ACL and MCL following a Tuesday morning MRI, head coach Doug Pederson announced, per Dave Spadaro from the "Eagles Live Podcast."

The Eagles initially believed Peters' ACL was still intact following the injury suffered in Monday night's win over the Washington Redskins. His 2017 season is over.

Peters started all seven games for the Eagles this season and was ranked as Pro Football Focus' No. 3 offensive tackle.

Halapoulivaati Vaitai replaced Peters on Monday night and is listed as the backup on the team's official depth chart.

Peters will be 36 years old entering his 15th NFL season in 2018.
