Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict avoided suspension for kicking Pittsburgh Steelers fullback Roosevelt Nix during Sunday's game, according to Katherine Terrell of ESPN.
Burfict was previously suspended for the first three games of the 2017 season. The Bengals linebacker has cultivated a reputation as one of the NFL's dirtiest players and has been sanctioned several times.
Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell was particularly incensed by Burfict's actions, tweeting that "dude gotta go" and blasted the NFL for condoning the hit.
"I think the player pushes Vontaze back after the play ... the official is right there and warned (Nix) to not do that," Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said, according to Terrel
