Despite the New York Giants' disappointing 0-4 start to the 2017 season, Ben McAdoo's job is not in jeopardy, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The Giants were expected to be contenders in the NFC, but are at risk of falling to 0-5 and will require an unbelievable hot streak to have any chance of even making the playoffs this year. Nonetheless, McAdoo doesn't appear to be on the hot seat in his second year as head coach.
"I touched base with a Giants official this week who pointed me simply to the way that ownership has traditionally run this franchise. In other words, there's no quick triggers. There's no rash judgments and there really is no bowing to the public cries that you hear on talk radio," Rapoport said Sunday morning on "NFL GameDay."
"No, Ben McAdoo is not in trouble. ... This is expected to be just a blip on the radar for the Giants."
McAdoo led the Giants to an 11-5 record in his first year at the helm last season.
The Giants' last head coach, Tom Coughlin, held the position for 12 years, with poor showings interspersed with Super Bowl victories.
