Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman was fined $12,145 by the league Friday for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty he was assessed against the Tennessee Titans in Week 3, according to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.
Sherman was charged with two separate unsportsmanlike penalties in the game, but the fine is based solely on Sherman taking off his helmet to argue with an official and not for the late hit on Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota.
While late-hit penalties typically carry a fine of $9,115, Sherman won't face the financial forfeiture.
