Vance McDonald proved why you never give up on a play.
The Pittsburgh Steelers tight end chased down Chicago Bears cornerback Marcus Cooper on this blocked field goal Sunday when it appeared Cooper had an easy touchdown. Cooper slowed down before going into the end zone, allowing McDonald to catch up and force a fumble.
Unfortunately for McDonald, his hustle didn't result in a touchback, as Steelers punter Jordan Berry was called for illegal batting out of the end zone and the ball was moved back to the 5-yard line. Chicago settled for a field goal, so McDonald did save his team four points.
The Bears provided a very concise summary of the craziness.
Ok lots happened there.
