Bills' Taylor returns to practice, still in concussion protocol

Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor returned to practice Monday, the team announced, as he continues to work through the NFL's concussion protocol.
Players in the protocol can practice once they pass certain stages. Bills head coach Sean McDermott said earlier in the day that Taylor had shown signs of improvement, but was still in the protocol.
Backup quarterback T.J. Yates also returned to practice after being sidelined with a concussion, according to Chris Brown of the Bills' official website.
If Taylor and Yates aren't cleared in time for the season opener Sunday, rookie Nathan Peterman will likely be made starter. Buffalo also signed journeyman Joe Webb on Monday.
