New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is believed to have a 50-50 chance of playing Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys after suffering an ankle injury in the preseason, a source told Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
Beckham missed his third straight practice this week on Thursday, and has yet to practice since being diagnosed with the injury.
If Beckham cannot play, the Giants will likely start Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shepard at receiver with Roger Lewis and Dwayne Harris rotating in as a third pass catcher.
Beckham missed four games at the beginning of his rookie year due to injury, but has only ever missed one other game in his career since, being suspended for one contest in 2015.
