Bills acquire Jordan Matthews from Eagles for Ronald Darby
The landscape of the Buffalo Bills' roster shifted Friday, as the team announced it has acquired wide receiver Jordan Matthews from the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for cornerback Ronald Darby.
A third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft will also be heading to the Bills in the deal.
The trade came at nearly the exact same time as the Bills announced that they sent wide receiver Sammy Watkins and a sixth-round pick in 2018 to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for cornerback E.J. Gaines and a second-round pick in 2018.
Matthews comes to the Bills after spending the previous three seasons with the Eagles. The 25-year-old appeared in 14 games last season and caught 73 passes for 804 yards and three touchdowns.
Darby heads the other way to the Eagles after two years in Buffalo, the latter of which saw him appear in 14 games with 69 total tackles.
