The Kansas City Chiefs were one play away from mounting a comeback until a critical error came back to haunt them.

Trailing 18-10 to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chiefs running back Spencer Ware punched in a 1-yard rushing touchdown. On the ensuing two-point conversion, Alex Smith converted a pass to tight end Demetrius Harris, tying the game at 18.

However, Eric Fisher was penalized for holding and the game-tying conversion was negated. During the next play, Smith failed to find Jeremy Maclin in the end zone, and the Chiefs still trailed 18-16.
