Anderson starts over Newton, throws interception on 1st play

Carolina Panthers quarterback Derek Anderson started Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks in what was a surprising decision made by head coach Ron Rivera.
It was revealed that Newton was benched due to a dress code violation, as he didn't wear a tie, according to Ashley Stroehlein of WBTV.
Anderson threw an interception on his first snap, and Newton took over during the team's next offensive series.
