Los Angeles Rams defensive end Robert Quinn was released from hospital on Tuesday after checking himself in for an undisclosed medical issue Monday, according to Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.

Rams head coach Jeff Fisher told reporters "things look encouraging" on Monday after Quinn underwent several tests.

Rumors that Quinn suffered multiple seizures began when a relative reportedly posted about it on Facebook, leading many to believe there was a link between a tumor on Quinn's spine (that he's known about since high school) and the incident.

Fisher denied that was the case on Monday.

"I'm not going to go into specifics, but that's highly unlikely," Fisher said, according to Joe Curley of The Ventura County Star.

Quinn is expected to rejoin the Rams immediately but his playing status going forward is unknown.
