New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady picked up a key first down on a 5-yard scramble in last week's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers and is now being praised for his mobility.
Maybe the rest of the world doesn't believe a 5.28 40-yard dash time is particularly quick, but Brady's mom thinks he's fast.
"Don't tell my mom (I'm not fast)," Brady joked Wednesday, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN. "She would totally disagree with that. She thinks I'm very fast. She'll say, 'I think you're the fastest person on the field.' I say, 'Mom, you're crazy. There's no way.' That's moms."
Brady went on to talk about how he's actually focused on improving his mobility over the past few years but, really, everything after his mom's opinions about his foot speed isn't worth listening to.
