McAdoo showed Giants scene from 'Step Brothers' to toughen them up
With the New York Giants riding a three-game losing streak, head coach Ben McAdoo is using comedy to help motivate his players.
According to Steve Serby of the New York Post, McAdoo showed the team a clip from the 2008 film "Step Brothers," starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly. The scene he chose was the one in which Ferrell (Brennan) is forced to lick dog poop by a group of younger bullies.
The players got a good laugh out of the clip, but also understood the message behind it.
"It was a scene where the bully kids make Will Ferrell eat the dog poop on the ground, the white dog poop," center Weston Richburg said. "And, from my experience watching the movie, Will Ferrell goes back later in the movie and beats up the kids that made him eat the dog poop. We just need to get up and move on and go, and keep going."
