Adam Schefter lists himself 'probable' ahead of knee surgery
Adam Schefter has long been the NFL's top insider, breaking news within the football world long before his competition.
In a lighthearted play on his job description - one that involves many injury reports - Schefter shared news of his own upcoming surgery on Twitter.
Breaking: undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery this morning to repair torn meniscus, per sources. Will be listed as probable for Sunday.

A knee scope typically requires a multi-week absence for NFL players, but it's safe to say Schefter's role requires far less strenuous movement.
So the fact that Schefter even required surgery in the first place came as a surprise to a league executive.
One NFL GM was surprised to hear of my knee surgery. "I wouldn't expect you to be active enough to tear the meniscus in your knee," he said.
