Jacksonville Jaguars running back Chris Ivory is inactive for the game against the Green Bay Packers after being admitted to hospital with a general medical issue Sunday morning, the team announced.
Ivory was listed as questionable on this week's injury report with a calf issue and was expected to play a limited workload as a result.
Details on his condition have not yet been disclosed, but ESPN's Jeff Darlington reports that the hospital stay is precautionary and not related to his calf injury.
Ivory, a high-priced free-agent addition from the New York Jets, entered his debut season with Jacksonville set for a shared backfield role alongside 2015 second-round pick T.J. Yeldon.
His absence pushes Yeldon into a featured role both for Sunday's game and next week, in the event Ivory's absence is extended.
