Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Turns in another stellar practice Sunday
Winston continued to impress in Sunday's seven-on-seven drills, completing a high percentage of passes from both the pocket and on the move, the team's official site reports.
Analysis:
The second-year quarterback continues to demonstrate ample proficiency at connecting on a wide variety of throws from anywhere on the field. Winston's Sunday highlights included a tight completion to Vincent Jackson between two defenders, an impressive hook-up with Cameron Brate while rolling right to escape pressure, a nifty downfield touch pass that found the hands of Adam Humphries, a perfectly-timed back shoulder fade to Evan Spencer, and another dart down the middle to Brate in traffic. While he did get picked off twice overall, one came off a tipped pass that linebacker Daryl Smith nabbed out of the air, while the other was on a Hail Mary-type heave that cornerback Alterraun Verner managed to haul in. Winston's extensive offseason preparation appears to be paying significant dividends in the early going of camp.
