Buffalo Bills general manager Doug Whaley turned a lot of heads on Tuesday with his comments about humans playing football.
"It's a violent game that I personally don't think humans are supposed to play," Whaley said on a Buffalo radio station Tuesday.
Whaley, who played college football at Pitt, clarified on Wednesday that his words were meant to address the physical nature and injuries of the game through a team statement.

After this controversy and the outrage around the Bills' questionable new media policy, Whaley will likely be watching his words much more closely in the future.
