Los Angeles Kings captain Anze Kopitar embarrassed Dallas Stars defenseman Kris Russell on Tuesday.
Kopitar scored a jaw-dropping goal in the first period, dangling around Russell before firing a backhand over an outstretched Kari Lehtonen.
The marker, Kopitar's 22nd of the season, extended his point streak to three games. Earlier in the period, the 28-year-old picked up assist No. 432, pushing him past former great Bernie Nicholls for fifth on the franchise assist list.
