Roddy White is Alexander Ovechkin's latest fan
As the Washington Capitals continue to win games and sprint away from the pack in the Eastern Conference, they're winning over some new fans.
Washington leads the NHL with 86 points in 55 games and is poised to capture its second Presidents' Trophy in franchise history. To the casual fan, the Capitals are an attractive team with a conference-best 184 goals.
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White declared his support for Alexander Ovechkin and Co. in a Twitter Q&A on Wednesday.
Capitals I love ovechkin RT @C_Salcedo8 aside from Dook and the Falcons which other sports team do you root for? #RiseUp

It's hard to see fault with White's reasoning. Ovechkin could be in line for his third consecutive 50-goal season, and is steering arguably the best team he's been on since being selected first overall in 2004.
