Carey Price wins Lou Marsh Award for Canada's top athlete of 2015

Even when he's injured, the hardware keeps pouring in for Carey Price.

The Montreal Canadiens goaltender was named the winner of the 2015 Lou Marsh Award, given to Canada's top athlete, on Tuesday.

The British Columbia native, the only NHLer nominated, becomes the ninth hockey player to win the award and the first since Pittsburgh Penguins forward Sidney Crosby won in 2009.

Price is coming off a historic 2014-15 season where he became the first goaltender to win the Ted Lindsay, Vezina, Hart, and Jennings trophies in the same year after recording league-bests in wins (44), goals against average (1.96) and save percentage (.933).

The 28-year-old has been limited to only 12 games during the Canadiens' current season due to a knee injury, but has still compiled an impressive 10-2-0 record with a pair of shutouts.
