Roman Reigns entered the main event of "Monday Night Raw" with the weight of the world on his shoulders as he challenged Sheamus for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

A returning Vince McMahon declared earlier in the evening that if Reigns loses his title bout to "The Celtic Warrior," his career with the company would be over.

In his biggest victory to date, the former Shield enforcer overcame the efforts of McMahon, the League of Nations, and a game Sheamus to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for a second time courtesy of a vicious spear.

The 30-year-old Samoan powerhouse seemingly had Sheamus beaten earlier in the match following a Superman punch, but McMahon intervened at the very last second, pulling the referee out of the ring to stop the three count.

His dastardly deed didn't come without consequence, though, as the Chairman of the Board received a Superman punch for his act.

Reigns fell short in his effort to win back the gold at "WWE TLC" on Sunday night in a "Tables, Ladders, and Chairs" match against Sheamus, attacking Triple H in a barbaric manner following the loss.

His frustrations stemmed not only from the pay-per-view at TD Garden in Boston, but also from his loss at "Survivor Series" to Sheamus after the Irishman cashed in his Money in the Bank contract.
