Colorado quarterback Sefo Liufau will miss the remainder of the season after injuring his foot Friday against USC, according to ESPN's Brett McMurphy.
The junior was sacked late in the first quarter and landed awkwardly on his leg. He left for the locker room and never returned.
Liufau suffered a Lisfranc injury and will undergo surgery to repair his injured foot. He'll hand over the reins to freshman Cade Apsay for the Buffaloes' final two games of the season.
Liufau was enjoying a strong junior campaign, completing 62.2 percent of his passes while throwing for 2,418 yards and nine touchdowns.
