A trio of players have committed their futures to Sampdoria.
Lorenzo De Silvestri, Eder, and Roberto Soriano put pen to paper on contract extensions with the Blucerchiati on Friday, and subsequently took part in a press conference alongside sporting director Carlo Osti and president Massimo Ferrero.
De Silvestri, who is recovering from injury and has yet to feature this season, extended his contract until 2019.
"Let me tell you a story," said Ferrero at the press conference, speaking of De Silvestri. "The first contract I signed as Sampdoria president belonged to this man here."
Eder, who is Serie A's top scorer, with five goals to his name through three matchdays, and Soriano, meanwhile, extended their contracts until 2020.
5 - Prior to Eder, the last player to score at least 5 goals in the first 3 Serie A matches was Di Natale with 6 goals in 2009/10. Renewal.

"There's no point in us going over what happened at the end of the transfer window as we all know the situation," said Osti, speaking of Eder and the interest that surrounded him during the summer.
"His contract was due to expire in 2019 and he's now extended that until 2020. I hope he becomes the (Antonio) Di Natale of Sampdoria, as it were. Di Natale is a fantastic player for a provincial club though obviously Sampdoria have that extra dimension compared to Udinese. I'd like Eder to stay with us forever because he's an extraordinary player, he's shown that and he's still improving."
Ferrero then added: "I'm delighted to have Eder here with me. Rather than becoming a Di Natale, I hope he gets to play wherever he wants to. If that's with me at Sampdoria then I'm happy. But I hope he goes to a big club because now they're willing to pay €100 million for run-of-the-mill talent and he's a superstar!
"My job is to make sure he's happy, whether that's at Sampdoria or wherever his heart takes him. Let me give him a kiss!"
Never change, Ferrero.
