Four-star wide receiver Tino Ellis has committed to Maryland, he announced Friday on Twitter.
The Hyattsville, Md. native opted for his home-state school over offers from an array of programs, including Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Virginia Tech.
His decision, announced concurrently on TV Friday night, ended weeks of speculation on where he would land, with many experts correctly projecting Ellis would commit to Maryland.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Ellis is ranked by ESPN as the no. 65 wide receiver in the class of 2016. He's also ranked as the no. 10 recruit in the state of Maryland.
