Ex-Giants coach Jim Fassel hints at NFL developing a 'very good spring league'

Former New York Giants head coach Jim Fassel may have spilled the beans about the establishment of an NFL spring developmental league.
Fassel, who coached the Giants from 1997 to 2003, dropped this bombshell during an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio on Tuesday:
"Don't be surprised if there was a very good spring league opening next year in the NFL," he said.
There have been attempts at a developmental league before, but they all ended up failing one way or another. That said, there's an obvious benefit to the implementation of such a league and the NFL definitely has the resources and money to make it happen.
