BMC Racing emerged victorious Sunday in the 28-kilometer team time trial stage of the Tour de France, defeating Christopher Froome's Team Sky by one second.
Froome retained the yellow jersey following Stage 9, but there were some changes to the General Classification leaderboard. BMC's Tejay van Garderen moved from third place into second, while Peter Sagan fell from second to fourth.
"We were getting positive splits out there," van Garderen said afterwards. "Obviously we don't get all the information but we knew we were ... a really good one. In a perfect world we would have taken the stage and the yellow jersey, but we will take the stage."
Monday is a rest day as the Tour prepares for the Pyrenees.
