Heredia is officially a free agent and is exempt from international bonus pools, Baseball America's Ben Badler reports.
Analysis:
The 24-year-old Cuban is known for his defense in center field and does not offer much power at the moment. It could be said that Heredia is a poor man's Rusney Castillo, which illustrates his lack of major fantasy appeal. Look for him to sign with a team sometime this summer and begin his professional career in the upper levels of the minor leagues.
