Jason Kelce fires back at Steve Weatherford: 'Is interviewing punters a thing now?'

The Week 6 matchup between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles is shaping up to be a doozy.

Giants punter Steve Weatherford took a shot at the Eagles' quarterbacks during a recent appearance on WFAN, comparing Sam Bradford to a Ferrari that "maybe won't be running all the time" and noting that, while he's a big fan of Tim Tebow, he doesn't "want him taking snaps for my team."

Eagles center Jason Kelce didn't appreciate those comments, and fired back at Weatherford on Monday with this tweet:

To which Weatherford responded:

Weatherford appeared on 97.5 The Fanatic shortly after and further explained his comments.

"When you have a quarterback like Eli Manning, a two-time Super Bowl champion, I'm going to prefer that he take the snaps for my team than Tim Tebow," Weatherford said, via ESPN.com. "That's not a shot saying Tim is not good at quarterback. I think it's pretty factual that Eli Manning is better. I gave the guy the greatest compliment that you can ever give anyone, that you would let them date your daughter."

The Eagles face the Giants twice this season: Oct. 19 in Philadelphia and Jan. 3 in New York.
