Former Packers draft pick Ron Moore killed in triple shooting
Former Green Bay Packers draft pick and longtime Seminole High School football coach Ron Moore and another man were shot dead early Sunday in Orange County, Fla.
The shooting, which authorities believe occurred during a drug transaction, left another man injured, Steven Lemongello and Iliana Limon Romero of the Orlando Sentinel report.
Moore, 37, played defensive tackle at Northwestern Oklahoma State. He was selected by the Packers in the seventh round of the 2000 NFL Draft, but never suited up for the team. His injury-plagued career came to an end in 2001 after one game with the Atlanta Falcons and he joined the Seminole High coaching staff soon after.
Moore leaves behind three sons: Ronnie, a wide receiver at Bowling Green, Brandon, a top recruiting prospect entering his senior year at Seminole High, and Ron.
