Blue Jays' Izturis out indefinitely with tear in right shoulder

Toronto Blue Jays infielder Maicer Izturis will be sidelined indefinitely after an MRI revealed a tear in his throwing arm.
Izturis, who began the season on the disabled list with a strained groin, was removed from last week's rehab game after experiencing a pop in his right shoulder while he dove for a ball.
Izturis is expected to seek a second opinion before the club determines a timetable for his recovery.
The 34-year-old entered training camp as a front-runner to secure the starting second-base job before his groin injury cleared a path for rookie Devon Travis to claim the position.
Izturis appeared in just 11 games last year as a result of suffering a torn ligament in his knee during the first month of the season.
