Jon Jones: 'I'll probably be at light heavyweight for a long time'

Jon Jones' future is at 205 pounds.

The UFC light heavyweight kingpin has long toyed with the idea of moving up in weight in order to test himself against heavyweight stalwarts like champion Cain Velasquez and interim titlist Fabricio Werdum, but it appears he's more than satisfied with reigning over the 205-pound division with an iron fist.

"Honestly, probably not," Jones said of moving up, according to MMAFighting.com's David St. Martin. "As I get older I'm maturing a lot more. My weight cuts are becoming a lot more easy. I'm learning how to eat better. I'll probably be at light heavyweight for a long time."

That doesn't mean bouts against Werdum and Velasquez are completely off the table, though, as "Bones" is always open to the idea of competing in a few superfights after he cleans out his own weight class.

"I'll probably go to heavyweight for one or two superfights at some point and then get back down to light heavyweight," Jones said.
