Neymar on Gary Medel stamp in friendly match: This isn't UFC

Get Dana White on the phone. Gary Medel belongs in the Octagon.

That's the message from Brazil star Neymar, who was none too pleased with the treatment he received from the Chilean midfielder in Sunday's international friendly match at the Emirates.

As seen above, Medel clearly stamped on the 23-year-old's calf in the opening half of the contest, and after the match Neymar denounced the incident as one better suited for mixed martial arts than football.

"That can't be considered part of the game, no. If we say that is part of the game, then the name (of the sport) is wrong. We can't call it football - we should call it UFC," the Barcelona forward said.

"But what can we do? The referee didn't see it. He's there but he didn't see it. There are four officials and nobody saw anything.

"I am the one who suffers the pain. I think it is because of the rivalry (between Brazil and Chile), and you end up suffering because of it."

Medel isn't having it, though. The Inter man fired back on Twitter, claiming that Neymar's penchant for embellishment has blown the incident out of proportion.

"Clashes are normal during a match. Some engage in theatrics while others keep playing ... it is a pity that not everyone sees that," he wrote.

It's also a pity there are video cameras everywhere, and they capture each and every little thing that happens on the pitch. Right Gary?
