The Cleveland Browns are keeping one of their pass-rushers in the fold for the foreseeable future.

Cleveland has signed defensive end John Hughes to a reported four-year, $14.4-million contract extension.

The signing is somewhat puzzling, given Hughes has only managed four career sacks in three seasons.

Hughes played in just five games last season and failed to record a quarterback takedown. Still, at 320 pounds, the Browns must like the upside and potential Hughes possesses.
