Boone underwent surgery on his knee to repair meniscus damage, the Sacramento Bee reports.
Analysis:
Boone went through a lengthy contract holdout in the preseason, but ultimately re-signed with the 49ers and played most of their games this season. He suffered the knee injury late in the year and will undergo offseason surgery to repair it. All indications are that he will be good to go by the start of the 2015 season.
