AC Milan manager Filippo Inzaghi says Fernando Torres has 'settled in well'
Fernando Torres debuted for the Rossoneri in AC Milan's 1-0 home defeat to Juventus on Saturday as he came on a substitute in the 77th minute.
Torres, who joined Milan on a two-year loan from Chelsea just before the summer transfer window closed, didn't have much of an impact during his brief appearance on the pitch, aside from a yellow card that he earned in injury time for a swinging arm.
But ahead of Milan's fixture versus Empoli on Tuesday, manager Filippo Inzaghi suggested that Torres and Marco van Ginkel (also at the San Siro on loan from Chelsea) are ready to start their first matches for the club.
"I'd say Torres and Marco van Ginkel are ready and they've settled in well," Inzaghi said. "I will decide if they start."
Supporters of Milan hope that Torres can improve on the 20 goals he scored in 110 appearances for Chelsea, a statistic that earned him a toxic reputation as one of the worst finishers in European football.
