Report: Raphael Diaz invited to training camp by 3 teams

Last season, Swiss-born defender Raphael Diaz played for his country at the Olympics, as well as for three NHL clubs (the Montreal Canadiens, Vancouver Canucks, and New York Rangers). It was the ultimate journeyman season.
Diaz's travels through professional hockey are likely to continue this fall, as the veteran defender has offers from three clubs to attend camp on professional tryout deals, according to a report from Nicola Berger of Swiss newspaper NLZ.
The 28-year-old power-play specialist would bring versatility and a right-handed shot to a club in need of such a piece. The Detroit Red Wings and Dallas Stars, two clubs poised to enter the season without a righty on the blue line, would seem logical fits.
