Report: Pierre-Marc Bouchard signs with Switzerland's EV Zug

Joshua Lindsey / USA TODAY Sports

NHL teams thinking about taking a flier on unrestricted free agent Pierre-Marc Bouchard are out of luck, as the 30-year-old forward has stolen some of LeBron's thunder and announced he's taking his talents overseas.

Bouchard appeared in 28 games for the New York Islanders in 2013-14, scoring four goals and adding five assists. He was sent to AHL Bridgeport before being dealt to the Chicago Blackhawks organization; in 24 games with the Rockford IceHogs, Bouchard recorded three goals and 14 assists to cap off his North American pro hockey career - for the time being, at least.

Drafted eighth overall by the Wild in 2002, Bouchard's most productive NHL seasons were from 2005-09 in Minnesota, scoring 66 goals and adding 159 assists during that time.
