Be warned that the video below is not for the faint of heart.

Only moments after opening up the scoring in Mexico's friendly against Ecuador on Saturday, Luis Montes suffered a horrific leg injury when he went in for a tackle on Segundo Castillo.

The injury was so gruesome that Mexican players, such as Hector Herrera, were fighting back tears. Ecuadorian players immediately walked away from the scene once they realized the severity of the situation.

It was confirmed shortly after that the gruesome injury will force Montes, who was sent straight to a hospital, to miss the World Cup.

Montes was replaced by Marco Fabian, while Segundo Castillo, who also left the pitch on a stretcher, was replaced by Carlos Gruezo.
