Slovenian president Borut Pahor honored a hometown hero Thursday, presenting Phoenix Suns guard Goran Dragic with the "Apple of Inspiration" award.
The NBA's Most Improved Player was given the golden apple (no, really, it's a golden apple trophy) and praised by Pahor as a "role model who inspires hope in people." Dragic looks equal parts awkward and humbled during the ceremony.
"Honored to receive #AppleOfInspiration award from Slovenian President @BorutPahor; we had a nice chat," he tweeted Thursday.

Dragic enjoyed a career season with the Suns in 2013-14; he posted a career-best 20.3 points per game (up from 9.5 in his previous seasons) and shot over 50 percent from the field.
