The public intoxication charges against San Francisco 49ers center Daniel Kilgore, which stemmed from an incident that occurred in January, have been dismissed.
According to the Kingsport general sessions clerks office, per Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com, the case was dismissed Friday and the charges will be expunged from Kilgore's record.
Kilgore was arrested and charged with public intoxication in the early hours of Jan. 26 after he and a friend were stopped by a police officer in his hometown of Kingsport, Tenn.
The officer stated that both men had dilated pupils and red eyes, and smelled strongly of alcohol.
The 26-year-old Kilgore has spent his entire three-year NFL career with the 49ers and signed a three-year contract extension with the team shortly after his arrest.
