Finland's Teemu Selanne named tournament MVP at 2014 Sochi Olympics

The media covering the 2014 Olympic Winter Games are a sentimental lot. 

On Sunday, following the gold medal game, it was announced that Finnish veteran, six-time Olympian, and bronze-medal winner Teemu Selanne was named the MVP of the men's Olympic hockey tournament.

Selanne managed six points in six games during the tournament, pushing his career Olympic production to 43 points in 37 games.

The tournament directorate selected the three individual awards and Cnaada's Carey Price was named the tournament's best goaltender, Sweden's Erik Karlsson, was named the tournament's best defenseman, and the United States' Phil Kessel was named the top forward at the tournament.

The media also selected their all-tournament, all-star team. Per the IIHF:
